Dummerston Route 5 & Route 30 Committee

The 2010 newly adopted Town Plan call for the Town to "Undertake a corridor study of the Route 5 and Route 30 corridors to determine appropriate density and land use districting. Incorporate the resulting density provisions, after public hearings, as an amendment to this plan and the zoning bylaw."

The Dummerston Selectboard has appointed a committee to study these corridors. The Committee will make its recommendations to the Selectboard and the Planning Commission. The Committee will seek information resources, concerns, and opportunities for housing and economic benefits from other Town Commissions and Committees, organizations and people with expertise, and especially Dummerston citizens in conducting its work.

The appointed members of the Committee include: Steve Glabach, Beverly Tier, Bill Schmidt, Mark Whitaker, Jack Manix, Greg Brown and Lew Sorenson. The Committee's elected Chair is Steve Glabach. Zeke Goodband is volunteering as the Committee's recording secretary (non-voting).

  • Meetings and Schedule: The Committee has set the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm as its regular meeting time. Agendas and minutes are posted here (see links below) and at the Town Office, and are provided to the Reformer for its meeting calendar.
  • The Committee will also schedule additional neighborhood public meetings, and possibly Town-wide meetings during the course of its work; these will received additional notice and publicity to encourage public involvement.
  • The Committee hopes to complete its work by this fall. Progress will be highlighted in meeting minutes and reports, and in updates to this web page.
